Nourish - Easy Like Smoothie Morning

I have a smoothie every single day.  I look forward to it, it is part of my routine.  I am super busy in the morning so I like to have breakfast easy enough to grab and take on the go if necessary.  If I have a busy week ahead I even portion my smoothie ingredients into bags or mason jars, dump everything into the Vitamix and BAM!  I get fruit and greens right away in the morning.  Another add-in I use is a protein or greens supplement from The Natural Citizen

Here are a couple of my favorite combinations.   What is your go to trick for smoothies? 

Ginger – Apple

1 huge cup of kale or spinach

½ frozen banana

½ apple

½ fresh ginger or 1 pinch of ground ginger

Good squeeze of honey or agave

1 scoop of The Natural Citizen

Blend with ½ to 1 cup of water, or almond milk and ice cubes, adjusting to your desired thickness. 

 

Pineapple – Green

1 cup spinach

1 frozen banana

HUGE cup of frozen pineapple

Good squeeze of honey or agave

1 scoop of The Natural Citizen

Blend with ½ to 1 cup of coconut water or almond milk, and ice cubes, adjusting to your desired thickness.

 

Chocolate Protein (Abdullah’s favorite)

1 frozen banana

1 scoop of Orgain Chocolate Protein

1 tbsp of almond butter

Blend with ½ to 1 cup of almond milk, and ice cubes, adjusting to your desired thickness.
